Crazy week

It has been a crazy week and I know that there are many many things more important than a little blog.  I work in healthcare, so my job is considered essential, so I've still had to work in the midst of all this social distancing and probably will continue to do so unless drastic measures happen. It is a week after finishing a challenge which usually means I allow myself some treat meals, but try not to go too off track.  Unfortunately hormones plus the uncertainty in the world is making things harder, especially since Monday night all the gyms were told to close for at least 2 weeks, possibly longer.  Luckily the trainers at Cuse Camp have been posting workouts for us every morning, so I can at least get a workout in.  Unfortunately where I do kickboxing isn't doing the same, but it is mainly a Brazilian Jujitsu place, and they are posting workouts for the BJJ students. A few months ago I was doing two nutritional/ fitness challenges and posting about the recipes, workouts, and my results and a friend suggested that I should do a blog.  Of course that was right around Christmas and I got busy with the holidays, but I kept thinking about it.  I just finished a 6 week challenge where I lost 9.6 pounds and 2.3% body fat plus several inches.  I am going to use this blog to possibly motivate or help people on their healthy journey, plus keep myself accountable.  I do well on challenges because I have to hand in food journals and meet with a nutrition coach as well as get my workouts in. I was active as a kid, played 3 sports— field hockey, basketball, and softball.  I wasn’t extremely good at any of them.  As an adult I discovered kickboxing.  At first I did cardio kickboxing, but eventually tried classes where we hit heavy bags.  I loved it.  Kickboxing is a great stress reliever, plus I just enjoy punching and kicking.  I have worked with a personal tr
